KEY FIGURES / DIMENSIONS
Total Recurring Cost base in 2024 is >$500m for A220 Wings. Reporting both operationally and functionally to the Head of Plant Controlling in Belfast with a link of proximity to the Head of A220 Wing CDT (Component Delivery Team).The role covers part of the Wing business area within the Plant.
REMARKS and MAJOR END RESULTS TO BE SOLVED IN THE POSITION
Guarantee full and accurate visibility of the A220 Wing Operations on short, mid and long-term.
Guarantee the assessment of all risks and opportunities related to current and next 5 years on RC costs (CoP and CoS)
Ensure the follow-up of corrective measures defined to achieve the A220 Wing targets.
Guarantee the financial reliability and accuracy of any Business Case.
Ensures Finance processes implementation and conformity (planning, budgeting and reporting processes), particularly guaranteeing full compliance of A220 Wing Operations processes with the Internal Financial Control Standards.
Contributes and promotes financial awareness to A220 Wing Operations management team.
Contributes to continuous improvement of A220 and Belfast Controlling Processes through regular challenging of the activity, including targets setting (OP process) and KPI development and deployment.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
Budgeting, Forecasting, Reporting, Leading and Mentoring
Overall business partner to the Head of CDT and integrated member of the A220 management team.
Lead and coordinate A220 Wing controlling through streamlining of controlling processes such as budgeting, forecasting and reporting between sub-assembly areas.
Working and liaising with MFOWx reporting and VSM teams in order to ensure alignment on the delivery of major forecasting milestones (FC1,2 and3) and OP.
Establish the top-down targets costs for A220 Wing Operations consistent with the VSM cascaded RC targets.
Challenge the A220 Wing bottom-up planning to match cascaded targets.
Preparation and submission of 5 year OP and cascade of annual budget.
Providing Robust Forecasting of RC costs against the Programme CoS targets.
Ensure monitoring and reporting of A220 Wing process and Programme analysis of RC Unit Costs (Labour/Overheads), as well as inventory and Capex.
Identify and assess A220 Wing Operations Risks and Opportunities in coordination with Head of Operations.
Financial Consultancy / Performance Management
Evaluate project appraisals and business cases to assist decision-making.
Lead the wider Belfast team in identifying and securing business improvements and project savings.
Propose and control all corrective measures and action plans to mitigate risks and achieve opportunities.
Monitor and challenge as necessary all discretionary investment and ensure that planned cash flows and NPVs are in accordance with the approved Business Case for the investment.
To promote financial awareness and provide financial guidance to managers and their respective teams and ensure adequate processes exist to have stringent financial controls.
Processes
Ensure that there is consistency, transparency and accuracy of all financial information.
Ensure rigorous processes are in place to maintain data integrity and guarantee accuracy of reported RC actual and forecast information.
Ensure compliance of UK processes to Airbus Internal Financial Control Standards (IFCS) and Ethics and compliance.
Support the continuous improvement of UK deployed financial processes and procedures through proactive participation of Projects in support of the Finance Balanced Scorecard.
Requirements - our ideal candidate will have…
Educated to at least degree / masters level
Experience in a relevant financial controlling / management accounting role
Strong verbal and written communication in the Airbus business language (English)
A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation
Ability to effectively communicate with and influence a diverse mix of finance and operational stakeholders of various nationalities and of various levels of seniority
The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development
