JOB PURPOSE
The Business Intelligence Analyst is crucial for supporting the organisation’s operational needs. They are responsible for analysing and reporting business performance data to inform management decisions. They are technical team members with a responsibility to help ensure that data is accurate, relevant, and easy to access, allowing for effective reporting and decision-making.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
> Develop reports, visualisations, and presentations to communicate strategic findings and present insights as actionable recommendations to key stakeholders, enabling the organisation to improve its business processes and make informed decisions.
> Support the Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst community as a growing and thriving community of practice.
> Analyse complex data and perform ad-hoc analysis to answer business questions and seek data-based insights for business operations improvement.
> Work with senior team members to establish and monitor KPIs and other metrics to measure business performance.
> Support with design and delivery of technical training for analytical tools and their associated ways of working.
> Be an advocate for the data analytics operating model, encouraging adoption of best practices within the BI Analyst community.
> Have effective communication & storytelling skills to communicate important findings and provide recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable way.
> Champion data fluency and self-serve analytics, engaging with stakeholders to show why data is important and how to create, interpret and communicate insights effectively.
> Ensure that data tools and reports are well-explained and documented, as well as educating colleagues about such best practices; providing an understanding of how to use the information effectively to achieve desired outcomes.
> Summarise complex analyses into simple terms and communicate recommendations to all levels of the organisation including senior management.
> Work independently and have accountability for multiple concurrent projects while delivering accurate and appropriate findings.
