Since 2009, our team has worked steadily to make this dream a reality. We’ve designed and tested many generations of prototype aircraft capable of serving in a network of electric air taxis. We’re looking for talented, committed individuals to join our team as we push onwards toward certifying the Joby aircraft with the Federal Aviation Administration, scaling our manufacturing, and preparing to launch commercial service in 2025.

As a Compensation Analyst at Joby, you will play a vital role in attracting and retaining top talent by ensuring that our compensation offers are competitive, fair, and aligned with our organizations compensation philosophy. You will work closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and the People Team to conduct comprehensive compensation reviews for job offers and ensure that our compensation packages are attractive to candidates. This position is based out of one of Joby’s California offices: San Carlos, Santa Cruz and Marina. Onsite presence 3 days per week is required.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive compensation reviews for every job offer, taking into account market data, internal equity, and individual candidate qualifications
  • Collaborate closely with recruiters and hiring managers to understand the specific needs of each role and provide guidance on appropriate compensation packages
  • Update and maintain our compensation offers database to ensure accurate and up-to-date information
  • Draft and send accurate offer letters, outlining compensation details and benefits
  • Occasionally address candidate questions and concerns related to compensation and benefits
  • Support recruiters by providing pay band requests for new job postings
  • Assist with various compensation team projects as needed
Required
  • 1 year of experience in Human Resources
  • Bachelors’ degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, experience with Google Sheets
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze data
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Detail-orientation and strong organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $71,700 - 95,700/yr. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Joby also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan with a company match, an employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, and more.
