We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst - BI Developer to join our team for an initial 12-month contract based in Bristol. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in a Planning environment, providing expertise in the construction of reports and dashboards to support a diverse range of stakeholders. This position focuses on accelerating a Business Intelligence (BI) project aimed at unifying stakeholders, offering fresh insights, and transforming decision-making processes within a complex Project Planning and Reporting environment. Due to the urgent nature of the role, candidates must possess valid and transferrable SC Security Clearance.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Report Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive and insightful Power BI reports tailored to meet the specific needs of a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Data Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, transform, and integrate data from various sources.
  • Data Modelling: Develop robust data models to ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and analysis within Power BI using DAX.
  • Performance Optimization: Implement optimizations to enhance overall responsiveness, ensuring a satisfying user experience.
  • Custom Visuals: Create custom visuals and incorporate advanced analytics to provide deeper insights.
  • Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies, including data validation, security, and access controls to maintain data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Automation and Scheduled Reporting: Advise on automated data refresh schedules and the distribution of reports to reduce manual effort and ensure timely access to critical information.
  • User Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users, enabling them to effectively utilize Power BI for data exploration and reporting.
