JOB OVERVIEW
The Engagement, Communications and Marketing Lead (ECML) is responsible for driving KF Aerospace’s brand strategy, its ongoing engagement efforts with key internal and external stakeholders and supporting ongoing business development and major projects in support of the company’s growth and continuous improvement.
This role supports the strategic communications, engagement and brand growth of all KF properties including: KF Aerospace and KF Aeroflyer.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plans, develops, and leads an ongoing communications and marketing strategy with external stakeholders including new and existing customers, industry partners and prospective career seekers.
- Leads ongoing internal engagement/operational communications strategy for a 1200+ strong workforce in four Canadian locations supporting KF Aerospace’s commercial and defence business MRO operations, flying operations, sales & leasing – including quarterly meetings & annual reports
- Supports (and/or may develop and plan) the Community Relations Strategy in all four of KF’s operational locations and as part of a national ecosystem in the Canadian aerospace and defence community. Devises and executes an ongoing annual and multi-year plan to enhance KF’s brand and reputation as a community partner.
- Supports KF’s Government Relations strategy as required in local and national level lobbying and awareness campaigning (e.x. FAcT, STTC, and P-8 Poseidon Programs). Liaise with offices of local, provincial and national politicians. Serve as main POC with consultants firms as needed.
- Leads and collaborates on long-term implementation/refresh cycles of communication tools and processes, including website/intranet refreshes, new/additional social media platforms, marketing tools, implementation of new technologies (i.e. AI and generative content); updates to cultural initiatives such as GBA+, 50-30 Challenge and Indigenous participation program.
- Collaborates on implementation of KF’s Indigenous Relations Strategy to increase awareness of the opportunities at KF and in aviation for Indigenous Peoples, businesses and organizations
REQUIREMENTS
- Four-year university degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or Journalism with 1 year of relevant experience; OR
- One-to-Two-year certificate or diploma in Digital Marketing or Public Relations with 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Photography/Videography with camera and smartphone with editing skills
- Experience with websites, social media, and Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) an asset
- Proficient with at least one of the following: Canva, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, Publisher or Photoshop is required
- Strong writing skills is required
- Must be highly motivated and self-disciplined
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills are required
- Experience using Google tools (Analytics, Adwords) an asset
- Don’t have to be aviation buff (but it helps!)
- Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn critical for this role

LOCATION

SALARY
The salary range for this role is KF wage band 9, $73,000-$91,300 annually. The expertise and technical skill level of the candidate is assessed during the selection process for placement within the band. Note: The salary range maximum signifies full job knowledge.
