What You Will Do:
We have an opportunity for a EHS Specialist to be based in Columbus, GA.
- Partner with the leadership team and line supervision to ensure EH&S regulatory compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations and adherence to P&W procedures and UTC EH&S Standard Practices.
- Identify health & safety hazards and controls to mitigate risks.
- Assist the EH&S team with tracking implementation of EH&S initiatives and projects across the organization
- Contribute by updating and reviewing all Columbus EH&S instructions and training materials
- Data entry and validation in EH&S Sustainability Management and Reporting Toolkit as required
- Gather data on open items from PW sites on Safety, Health, and Risk Reduction metrics or projects
- Support implementation of the Pratt & Whitney EH&S Management system
- Organize and maintain assigned EH&S policies to achieve and maintain compliance with regulations.
- Participate in the site EH&S Council
- Continuously improve EH&S performance and operations, including improvement programs and corrective actions, environmental protection projects, conservation activities, and integration of EH&S initiatives into overall business operations
- Interface with government agencies to maintain regulatory compliance (audits, annual reports, permit applications, etc.)
- Conduct safety inspections and analyzes audit findings to develop corrective actions and achieve and maintain safe work practices
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications You Must Have:
- High School Diploma/GED
- US Citizenship
- Three to Five years of relevant experience in EHS /manufacturing environment.
Qualifications We Value:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Sciences, Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
