As the Export Compliance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our export activities align with both international and domestic trade regulations. Your expertise will be key in aligning our business strategy with trade compliance requirements.
Responsibilities:
Determination of the export classification of hardware, software and technology under relevant export control regulations (U.S.: ITAR, EAR and Canadian including Controlled Goods Regulations).
Assist in the implementation and administration of export compliance procedures and processes.
Manage projects and their related export activities, define export control requirements, and ensure compliance with U.S. and Canadian export control and sanctions regulations.
Prepare and submit export permit applications, licenses to the appropriate government authorities, and manage the associated recordkeeping.
Coordinate special projects and work closely with program managers, customers and suppliers to ensure compliance with export controls.
Review of contracts.
Communicate and assist in the development of all materials provided to CAEu2019s Export Control Officers worldwide regarding updates to export control updates to regulations and procedures/processes.
Perform and assist in the review of denied party screening and support the associated reporting.
Build strong partnerships with Business Lines and work collaboratively across functional teams.
Assist in the implementation of export control rules within the IT framework.
Conduct internal audits to ensure continued compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS
College degree with a minimum of 3 years experience in a related field.
Strong communication and organizational skills, and excellent writing skills in French and English.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English.
Experienced in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, TEAMS, Power BI).
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Innovation/creativity in project and international management of processes.
Working knowledge of US and Canadian export control and sanctions laws and regulations, including the Canadian Export and Imports Permits Act (EIPA) and Canada Controlled Goods Regulations (CGP), Canadian sanctions, the US Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the US International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and the US Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) Regulations.
Ingenuity, initiative, interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure.
Strong analytical and organization skills, including the ability to collect, structure and communicate data, and implement processes to ensure compliance.
Demonstrates problem-solving skills and willingness to participate in process improvement projects.
Time management skills, ability to multi tasks; autonomy and responsible attitude.
Willingness to take initiative in order to solve problems for local and international clients.

Experience in aerospace and/or defense industry preferred.
