Responsibilities
Support Spirit Airlines’ Flight Operations by ensuring all aircraft are equipped with current and compliant flight deck manuals, written procedures, international documents, and charts in accordance with FAA regulations. Collaborate closely with the Flight Operations Base Administration team to provide pilots with the necessary, up-to-date information and tools required to perform their duties effectively and safely.
Aircrafts Distribution:
- Coordinate with other bases to distribute aircraft manuals, documents, and charts.
Goal Performance Tracking:
- Assign and track timely follow-ups on delays and DOT (Department of Transportation) complaints across all crew bases.
- Create tracking sheets for Base Chief Pilots to monitor attendance, reliability, and compliance checks.
EFB Program:
- Maintain EFB (Electronic Flight Bag) hardware inventory, accounting for failure rates, pilot growth, attrition, and fleet expansion.
- Ensure EFB software is functional, up to date, and devices are adequately charged.
- Assist pilots with EFB related needs and work closely with EFB Admin team to provide reporting metrics.
Post and Filling:
- Distribute key notifications to aircrews, including master records, pay reports, training records, and discrepancy reports.
- Maintain and post visual display and status on boards in crew room.
Domicile Parking:
- Manage company-paid parking accounts for pilots, resolve parking issues, and handle parking invoices.
- Conducting monthly audits.
Base Operations:
- Provide guidance to pilots on all aspects of base operations.
- Act as the first-level approver for expense reports.
- Assist with research, scheduling, and delivery of Notices of Investigation (NOIs).
- Coordinate delay recodes as needed.
- Attend airport-specific meetings as required.
Crew Room and Supplies:
- Ensure the crew room is stocked with necessary supplies and liaise internally for replenishments.
- Ensure crew room contractual requirements are met per the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
Pilot Well-being and Compliance:
- Monitor pilot leave sick usage and report any suspected non-compliance to the Base Chief Pilot.
- Make wellness checks as needed.
- Assist with pilot bereavement and jury duty leaves.
Operational Support:
- Manage fleet launch and delay reports and participate in delay mitigations efforts.
- Conduct ramp walks to identify and report issues like inoperative ground power and air conditioning units.
- Provide support to Spirit airline operations when necessary.
Pilot Assistance and Coordination:
- Assist with pilot retirement flight arrangements, HIMS meetings, and lost-and-found items.
- Collect pilot statements and reports for incidents, including:
- DOT tarmac delay
- Aircraft logbook error correction emails
- Social media statements
- Inflight statements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- 1-3 years experience required.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft products such as Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as a thorough knowledge of Citrix.
- Ability to utilize all available technology to create, edit and maintain all necessary information.
- An intermediate understanding of all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and how they apply to our daily operations.
- Advanced understanding of Company policies/procedures as well as the Inflight and Flight Ops Performance Management Policy.
- Must be able to display the utmost professionalism, confidentiality, and good judgment at all times.
- Ability to interact with crewmembers, fellow supervisors, and management in a positive and constructive manner.
- Adapt to various work schedules and times.
- Must be able to adjust thought processes to coincide with the growth and development of the industry, as well as the company.
- Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
- Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
