Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this position is responsible for day‑to‑day HR duties such as, but not limited to: handling internal/external correspondences, assisting in recruitment, providing general confidential administrative support, HRIS system management, manager-requested documentation, data processing and correspondence, along with all other HR support as required.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities- Attend career fairs, expos, conferences, recruiting and community events
- Data processing, WCB/WSIB management and HRIS system support
- Assist in preparation of employment letters and other management-requested documentation
- Assist in full cycle recruitment for various departments
- Assist in maintaining and updating job applicant databases and managing recruiting inbox
- Filing and other office admin duties as required
- Respond to external inquiries regarding staffing and other external inquiries
- Provide service to internal and external customers on all HR related inquiries and requests
- Assistance with projects as assigned by HR leadership
- Perform all other human resources duties and administrative support as required by HR leadership
- Actively participate in the Company’s Safety Management System
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Education, Experience and Certifications- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent
- Post-secondary education with successful completion of diploma or degree in Human Resources
- 1-2 years’ experience in a Human Resources support role or equivalent preferred
- Knowledge of full cycle recruitment
- Must possess a valid driver’s licence
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Experience working in an HRIS system an asset
- Knowledge of Canada Labour Code considered an asset
- Experience working in a unionized environment and ability to read and understand collective agreements considered an asset
- Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an asset
Working Conditions- Physically able to perform all listed job duties
- Travel by aircraft and other means as required by role
- Travel by flight required for base visits, recruiting events, Company sponsored and Company interested events, and other needs as determined by the Company
