The Boeing Company’s Information Digital Technology & Security (ITD&S) organization is currently seeking a Mid-Level Systems Administrator to join the team in Kennedy Space Center, FL or Titusville, FL

In this role you will operate as the Specialized Infrastructure Operations (SIO) – Information Technology (IT) Site Operations Support Technician and provide system operations support for break/fix, installation, access control, information assurance and request fulfillment of IT services including Server, Storage and Backup. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide system administration and management for all Windows Servers and system test consoles (STCs) supporting the environment

  • Configure security policies and apply necessary security patches and system updates to maintain security compliance and continuous monitoring

  • Provides IT support to satisfy Government, Program Security and Boeing Security compliance requirements utilizing Enterprise services when applicable

  • Provide the software, hardware, and management of all Windows Servers within the Program Enterprise

  • Partner with other IT Infrastructure Teams to develop, manage, and integrate requirements for infrastructure services to meet business, program, site, and functional needs

  • Assist the IT Business Success Leader performing business planning, demand management, and prioritization for IT infrastructure services

  • Partner with other IT infrastructure teams to communicate plans and manage service escalations

  • Lead business impact assessment for production system outages

  • Lead end-to-end service delivery management for IT infrastructure services to ensure business requirements are met and consistent with Service Level Agreements

  • Partner closely with Program Management, Program Chief of Staff and the IT Business Success Leader to prioritize and schedule IT projects, initiatives and service requests

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years, or requires candidate to have been enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years

  • Active Security+ certification

  • 1+ years of experience administering user system access and establishing safeguards to protect information to meet network security requirements

  • 1+ years of experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering current Windows Server 2016 - 2019 and Desktop Operating Systems - Windows 10

  • Experience working within the DoD Risk Managed Framework (RMF)

  • Experience working on classified networks

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work or military experience

  • Experience troubleshooting Group Policy Objects (GPOs)

  • Experience with active directory (AD) to include applying domain group policies

  • Experience in Agile Methodologies

  • Experience with upgrades and patches for operating systems and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software

Summary pay range: $88,400 – $119,600
