Summary: Provides administrative and tactical support for all functional areas of the Planning Group responsibilities leveraging programs, systems, and procedures to drive process standardization and project efficiency. This position will support the drive for continuous improvement through standardization and process improvement within the Planning Group and consequently adjacent departments.
Jet Midwest is a full-service commercial aviation company, specializing in the sale and lease of commercial aircraft, engines and parts as well as aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul services to the aviation industry. This position is located at the Kansas City International Airport Area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities included, but not limited to:
- Follow internal procedures to generate purchase orders, repair orders, and work orders
- Monitor and maintain inventory of kit and supplies necessary for Planning Group activities
- Assist in development of budgets for projects
- Produce periodic reports to demonstrate financial, resource, and schedule projections
- Drive continuous cost improvement while minimizing risks to project schedules and Planning Group responsibilities
- Work closely with the technical team, Sales, Program Team and Jet Midwest Technik to accurately track whole assets
- Act as a key Contributor to the Planning Group business strategy and continuous improvement plans.
- Assist in shipment of kits and supplies to job sites for Planning Group personnel
Process aircraft documents as follows:
- Assist in preparing incoming work package with data entries by checking the printed work package against the master tally.
- Check that all routine work cards have budgeted hours where required.
- Assist in ensuring that all drawings or references called for in the work cards are available.
- Check and ensure that all data entries for the work package are accurate and updated in a timely fashion.
- Ensure that all non-routine cards have been entered into Ebis with complete task discrepancy descriptions and estimated budget hours.
- For work in progress aircraft, perform periodic audits on open and closed cards, and search for all missing cards.
- Prepare daily aircraft status report on open/closed cards status, invested man hours and budget.
Education and Experience:
- Aerospace afterspanet experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated ability to use sound judgement and discretion in dealings with outside vendors, coworkers, and clients
- Professional, polished communication skills – oral and written
