Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal International Trade Compliance Analyst (Level 3) to join our team as Full-Time Telework. This position will include ensuring compliance with U. S. Export and Import control laws and regulations; assisting in administration of OCR EASE software; designing/developing ITC resources; gathering and analysis of metric data; and researching and interpreting U.S. Government export/import regulations.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Research and provide interpretation and guidance of U.S. Government regulations including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
  • Assist in the development, review, improvement, and implementation of trade compliance policies and procedures for U.S. and non-U.S. subsidiaries
  • Perform compliance assessments of export/import authorizations and related transactions and assist in any investigations of potential compliance issues
  • Support and implement corrective actions that result from compliance issues
  • Gather, analyze, and present data on performance metrics
  • Compile, analyze, and provide various types of compliance reports on a regular basis concerning export/import transactions and authorizations
  • Monitor Part 130 compliance cross-functionally and within international trade
  • Create and deliver virtual and/or in person trainings regarding export/import compliance
  • Assure transactions comply with government regulations and internal procedures by conducting gate reviews for technical data, foreign travel, foreign visits, and export and import shipments
  • Participate in working groups, independent projects, and collaborative efforts with within the trade compliance function or cross-functionally
  • Assist in the administration of OCR EASE software to include testing of new releases and non-U.S. subsidiary support

Basic Qualifications/Skills:

  • Must have one of the following:
    • High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience
    • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
    • Masters degree with a minimum of 3 plus years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
  • Experience assessing the applicability of ITAR exemptions and EAR exceptions
  • Proficient in the use of the OCR EASE software and Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Experienced and comfortable creating and providing trainings in person or virtually
  • Strong commitment to integrity and professionalism
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong ability to work independently as well as with teams
  • Ability to prioritize and organize own workload
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong collaboration and team building skills
  • Must be able to travel as needed (up to 10 of the time)

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

  • Aerospace or Defense Industry Experience
  • Possess or able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
  • Knowledge of U.S. export/import licensing processes and use of D-Trade and SNAP-R systems
  • Knowledge of non-U.S. export/import regulations, particularly that of Australia
Salary Range: $80,600 - $121,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
