Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sr Principal Space Planner. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Strategic Deterrent System (SDS) Division. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
What You’ll Get To Do:
Space Utilization Planning: Conduct high-level space utilization planning for Division Staff and SDS Programs.
Space Utilization Analysis: Develop and analyze space metrics, preparing charts and briefings to provide visualization material for the Division’s overall space utilization.
Strategic Space Planning: Develop and maintain a long-term Division strategic space plan that aligns with the SDS portfolio baseline.
Seating Solutions: Facilitate seating arrangements for employees and interns, ensuring optimal use of all spaces.
Manage and resolve space requests.
Schedule and attend meetings with requestors to discuss, analyze, and document space requirements and layouts.
Staffing Demand Management: Collaborate with program counterparts to collect current staffing demands and assign space across all SDS sites, including future expansion plans.
Project Assistance: Assist with other Division projects such as phased relocations, facility reconfigurations, site openings, requirements management, and Space Planning Change Board requests.
The selected candidate should excel in a fast-paced environment, manage diverse assignments, and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
Strong organizational and communication skills, proactive action-taking, and the ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision are essential.
This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
8 Years with Bachelors; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered lieu of degree.
Must have U.S. Citizenship with a current or active DoD Secret level clearance and have the ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Access Programs (SAP) as a condition of continued employment.
Strong Microsoft Excel Skills.
Willingness to travel up to 10.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous space planning experience.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Exceptional analytical, strategic, and critical thinking skills.
Experience in developing and presenting executive briefings to leadership teams.

Salary Range: $95,000 - $142,400
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
