MAG Aerospace is bidding on a Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) effort and contingently hiring for an experienced SATCOM Field Engineer to provide field support concerning repair and maintenance support and an inventory of spare parts, tools and test equipment.

The SATCOM Field Engineer will provide their own transportation vehicle to respond to call outs on mainland Puerto Rico

The place of performance for this position is:

CAMOC in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties of this position will include the knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) of the following systems:

Work with radio site management for access and conduct trouble shooting of power, universal power supply, cabling, and circuit connectivity with DISA and Telco.

All CAMOC sites use the URC-200 VHF/UHF communication systems with the UPA-50 VHF/UHF power amplifier, AVID interface, and local antennae.

Provide service to maintain and operate Audio Visual Downlink

Equipment (BMS Brand) located at Monte Del Estado and St Thomas sites.

Will maintain and operate AVDL hardware/software to include the Extron A/V switching system at the CAMOC.

Maintain CAMOC tower and all antennas located on tower to include corrosion control and general maintenance of all.

Maintain two (2) CAMOC SATCOM radios (AN/PSC-5) with associated equipment and two(2) CAMOC ASTRO Digital company radios with associated equipment.

Will maintain radios installed in CAMB Marine Assets in San Juan, Fajardo, Ponce, Boquerón, and St Thomas.

Maintenance includes troubleshooting and repair and replacement of all radio-associated infrastructure.

Assist the CAMB Marine assets with code plugs and programming of all vessel radios and Motorola XTL 5000 desk sets located at each boathouse.

Will maintain all DMR 200/400 systems for tracking of CAMB Marine Vessels.

Maintain CAMB radios located at the Air Branch facility in Aguadilla - Includes the UHF AN/ARC-210, one (1) AN/PRC-5 SATCOM Radio, and two Motorola XTL 5000 desk sets.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Experience:

Minimum 4+ years of experience as a SATCOM Communications Technician.

US Military or commercial electronics training and experience

Education:

Minimum High School Degree

Clearance:

SECRET Active/Current

The projected compensation range for this position is $100,000 to $170,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAGs total compensation package for employees.
