As a Production Specialist involved with Semiconductor materials you will focus on the fabrication of Infrared Materials for Raytheon, a manufacturer that provides leading edge sensing technology. We are looking for a detailed oriented individual who must demonstrate a safety-first routine. Work consists of a combination of routine production and non-routine engineering support under minimal or no supervision. You will be following ISO controlled process procedures in an environmentally controlled, semiconductor (cleanroom) environment that require handling of fragile materials and potentially hazardous process chemicals. This will require use of Personal Protective Equipment including occasional use of a respirator. You will draw from your experiences in a related field to assume responsibilities for managing your work area and nominal operation of a laboratory. You will attend regular production meetings, actively participate in schedule and priority discussions, work with colleagues to assure optimal workflow. Excellent, independent communication with support organization such as facility management and janitorial staff as needed.

**This is a 1st Shift onsite position in Goleta, CA.**


Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Responsible for production execution in a semiconductor laboratory/cleanroom environment.

  • Handling of process chemicals such as acids and solvents.

  • Will use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including occasional use of a respirator.

  • Responsible for characterization and quantification of production components.

  • Develop and follow maintenance schedules and will need to make equipment & process adjustments for engineering and development efforts.

  • Communication related to maintenance schedule, equipment up-time, production goals and engineering challenges on a daily, ongoing basis is essential.

  • Engaged in production metrics and process metrology including data processing and database entry.

  • Participation and coordination of cross training activities in a leading role.

  • Thorough understanding of the technical aspects associated with your assigned process and ability to work with process engineering to resolve production issues.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Semiconductor, Microelectronics, Medical or other manufacturing.

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required. https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience with safe handling of process chemicals such as acids and solvents

  • Direct experience with metrology equipment, measurement systems and visual inspections

  • Direct experience with high tech production equipment such as vacuum or high- pressure systems

  • Experience with common instruments and tooling for high tech fabrication and assembly to achieve measurement and dimensional targets

  • Experience managing a laboratory with complex facility requirements such as particulate control, temperature and humidity.

  • Direct experience working with Personal Protective Equipment including respirator.

  • Able to work with variety of software controlled equipment

  • Understanding of MS Office suite

The hourly range for this role is $20.67 to $50.00. The hourly range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
