Tech Support Specialist – Redefine Aerospace at Midnight
Location: Annapolis, MD $34/hour Full-Time Consultant – 12 Months
Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM Monday to Friday Some weekends & holidays required
Keep the World Connected — Even While It SleepsPDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled Tech Support Specialist to support a 24/7 Network Operations Center (NOC) in the aerospace industry. This critical role ensures uninterrupted communication and data flow across aviation networks worldwide. This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
What You’ll DoAs a Tier 2 NOC technician, you will be responsible for incident management, troubleshooting, and maintaining systems that support global air-to-ground communications.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor network management systems and coordinate with telecom providers for service restoration
Track and document incidents with accuracy and timeliness in the management tool
Troubleshoot and resolve network/system issues of moderate complexity
Apply technical knowledge to oversee high-availability IP networks, messaging systems, and data communications
Collaborate with senior team members to resolve critical service issues
Follow established processes and use discretion to escalate when needed
Participate in system configuration and maintenance efforts to enhance efficiency
Train across three core NOC areas:
Transport: Monitoring all global network components including routers, switches, firewalls, and circuits
DataLink: Monitoring ground stations and processing systems enabling air-to-ground communication
Applications: Overseeing message channels that process millions of messages daily
Required QualificationsNetwork+ Certification
Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, computer networking, hardware/software interfacing
Experience troubleshooting Cisco devices and working with HSRP/BGP protocols
Understanding of ITIL/ITSM concepts and practices
Associate degree or equivalent 2-year post-secondary training with 1–2 years relevant experience OR high school diploma/GED with 2+ years of experience
Strong customer service skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage high-pressure incidents effectively

Pay Details: $34.00 per hour
