Purpose: Support safe, seamless, reliable airline operations by maintaining a stable and well performing Maintenance Repair and Overhaul system (software is AMOS by Swiss-AS, www.swiss-as.com); assure efficient and cost-effective support is continuously provided to allow smooth execution of the airline’s technical operations and records management processes. Embrace and exhibit a “One Crew”, “Do The Right Thing” and “Keep It Simple” mentality. This position is vital to the airworthiness and safety of our Customers and Crewmembers.
Responsibilities and Outcomes:
1) Act as primary Superuser and Business Administrator of the AMOS software to ensure records accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Act as POC for all account creation, password resets, client install
- Maintain the AMOS database and its security including the client and software certificates/keys
- Create custom reports for users in AMOS (SQL database)
2) Facilitate successful and timely deployment of properly configured AMOS software applications
Assist in Use Case development
- Participate in the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of newer software releases and patches
- Assist in review and adjustment of existing business processes
3) Provide timely resolution of actionable software issues and user queries; assist in addressing complex software and user issues
- Act as liaison between Avelo and Swiss-AS providing support for near term issues (Technical Queries) and for longer term system modifications
- Work through complex issues to identify root causes and develop effective and simple solutions
- Assist in maintaining material pool transfers ensuring aircraft parts and materials are properly processed and tracking in the system
4) Promote highly efficient use of the AMOS software in accordance with accepted procedures to assure the intended operational benefits are delivered to the company
- Review software use, evaluate efficiency of use and propose actions to improve effectiveness
- Assist in development of the training material
5) Assure accuracy and completeness of the technical records
- Maintain a high quality of electronic records, including smooth data exchange between integrated software systems
- Ensure existing paper records match AMOS entries and that all entries are complete with regards to status and labelbooking
- Provide documents for aircraft lease returns/sales from Amos
6) Maintain Aircraft Utilization to ensure correct aircraft times/cycles
- Configure and maintain data exports / imports to and from framework
- Audit and correct any defects between the aircraft dispatching system times and AMOS
- Maintain Scheduler in AMOS to run error free/investigate errors.
7) Ensure timely completion of assigned job trainings
- Complete all assigned training, including recurrent, to satisfactory levels within predefined time frame
- Suggest performance enhancing training subjects to the leadership team
8) Participate in the Safety Management System (SMS) Program
- Support and promote quality and safety culture
- Reports safety related issues though the established Safety Reporting System
Requirements
- Experience with AMOS (by Swiss-AS) software or other airline maintenance and engineering software preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Experience in an aviation maintenance or support role, i.e. mechanic, materials, programs, planning, or engineering, aircraft records preferred
- Previous experience in business focused customer support role preferred
- Ability to liaise with 3rd party vendors and partners as support related issues arise and/or upgrades/patches are necessary
- Demonstrated knowledge of business process design, mapping, and change management procedure (with a bias towards simplicity)
- Experience with software maintenance, operations, and e-Ticket system management/measurement
- Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong critical thinking with analytical approach to problem solving
