Starting Pay : $35.72-$43.00 per hour

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly skilled Tool & Fixture Specialist to support aerospace production operations with precision, safety, and efficiency. In this role, you will be at the forefront of creating, maintaining, and improving the specialized tools and fixtures that keep our manufacturing processes running flawlessly. Your work will directly impact product quality, operational safety, and project timelines.
What You’ll Do:
Perform complex tool setup activities, including alignment and leveling.
Conduct visual inspections of tools using documentation to ensure quality standards.
Manufacture and repair assembly and fabrication tools using manual, CNC, and precision alignment equipment.
Operate factory support equipment to move materials and tools as needed.
Design and reverse-engineer tooling to meet production requirements.
Demonstrate and validate new tooling by producing first-part approvals.
Train internal teams on tool use, repair, and maintenance.
Review vendor capabilities, verify structural integrity of handling equipment, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Conduct and document proof-load testing on equipment to ensure safety and performance.
Maintain accurate records in MES, CMES, Maximo/CRPMS, and Cribmaster systems.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED with 4+ years of relevant work experience, or equivalent education and experience (e.g., vocational school, Associate’s degree + 2 years’ experience, or Bachelor’s degree).
Expertise in tool design, manufacturing, and repair processes.
Strong understanding of safety standards and regulatory compliance in manufacturing.
Ability to read and interpret tooling drawings and operational manuals.
Proficiency with manufacturing software systems.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Pay Details: $35.72 to $43.00 per hour
