Avionics Technician

Position Overview:
STS Technical Services is seeking a skilled Avionics Technician in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine avionics and electrical work associated with heavy aircraft maintenance checks (A, B, C, and D). The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a solid understanding of engineering methodology for systems installations, and the ability to perform avionics and electrical modifications with minimal supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair aircraft avionics and electrical systems using approved technical data with minimal supervision.
- Systems Installation: Understand and apply engineering methodology for systems installations.
- Modifications: Perform avionics and electrical modifications proficiently with little to no supervision.
- Additional Duties: Carry out all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training in avionics or electrical systems.
- Licenses/Certifications: A&P, FCC license, or repairman certificate preferred.
- Technical Skills: Computer keypunch experience is a plus.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- The role requires regular sitting, standing, bending, reaching, and movement around the facility.
- The work environment is a warehouse setting, and candidates should be able to adapt to this environment.
