Job Title: Avionics TechnicianJob Description
We are seeking a skilled Avionics Installation Technician for a 9-month contract-to-hire position. You will work in a full-service shop that manages everything from major inspections to routine maintenance, primarily focusing on corporate aircraft such as Beechjets, Citation, Cessna, Gulfstreams, and Skyhawks. Your primary responsibility will be the installation of Garmin and Collins Avionic systems, including navigation, GPS, autopilot, and WIFI systems.
Responsibilities
- Install Garmin and Collins Avionic systems (NAV, GPS, Autopilot, WIFI).
- Run and make cables and wires for avionic systems.
- Demonstrate effective maintenance repair techniques using FAA and industry-accepted practices and tooling.
- Perform aircraft modifications, including sheet metal repair, corrosion treatment, and landing gear or engine removals.
- Ensure all work is completed according to the maintenance manual, service bulletins, RSM, FAA FAR, or other approved documentation.
Essential Skills- A&P license.
- 2+ years of avionic installation experience, with Garmin or Collins systems strongly preferred.
- Experience with corporate jets preferred.
- Aircraft maintenance and repair skills.
- Troubleshooting skills for avionics and electrical systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- FCC certification is nice to have.
- Experience with non-destructive testing and inspection.
- Familiarity with CRJ, Falcon, Hawker, Gulfstream, and corporate aircraft.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr.
