We are seeking an experienced Avionics Manager to oversee both avionics install and install repair operations for a 12-person team across 2 shifts in Greenville, SC. This leadership role is responsible for managing personnel, production flow, budget oversight, and work scope while ensuring high-quality avionics installation and troubleshooting support within a general aviation environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations for avionics install and install repair departments
- Lead and support a 12-person team across multiple shifts
- Oversee scheduling, manpower planning, workflow, and department performance
- Manage departmental budget and monitor work scope execution
- Provide technical guidance for avionics troubleshooting, repairs, and installations
- Ensure projects are completed in compliance with FAA regulations, company standards, and customer expectations
- Coordinate with customers, production teams, and leadership regarding project status and operational priorities
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and turnaround times
Requirements
- Strong leadership experience within avionics installation and repair operations
- Hands-on knowledge of general aviation avionics systems
- Garmin and/or Pro Line avionics experience required
- Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced maintenance and modification environment
- Experience managing budgets, labor utilization, and departmental workload
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and team leadership abilities
