Setup, maintain, support troubleshooting, and operate electrical and electronic systems and equipment to process and evaluate test data of development and production of electronic equipment and devices, to include checks of electronic and electromechanical systems.
Assemble electronic, electro-mechanical, printed wiring boards and cable harnesses for experimental, developmental or production hardware.
Essential Functions:
- Read and interpret electric and electronic planning documents, schematics, wiring diagrams, procedures, manuals, assembly, setup and test data parameters to, perform set up, assembly and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems to acquire and record test data.
- Setup data acquisition and recording systems and peripheral equipment such as strain devices, data recorders, oscilloscopes and acoustical pickup units.
- Modify data acquisition equipment, replacing components and units as needed including installation of sensors on systems in static environments.
- Fabricate breadboards, assemble circuitry, and complete wiring.
- Using test equipment and precision measuring instruments, support functional checkout of system elements to verify operating parameters and compatibility.
- Support troubleshoot malfunctions and make recommendations corrections
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of electrical circuits (AC, DC) and electrical components and electronic devices.
- Proficient in working with electromechanical components.
- Proficient in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical diagrams. Knowledge of electronic component placement and polarization.
- Proficient and certified in soldering of multiple styles including fine and large pitch electronic components.
- Proficient in reworking PWA to include removal and touchup on conformal coating.
- Proficient in the assembly process of electronic subassemblies/assemblies to include complex text boxes to test equipment racks.
- Proficient with standard machining tools (i.e. drill presses)
- Proficient in cable assemblies, crimping, splicing shielding including working with micro connector and high density type of connectors.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $33.14/hr - $55.39/hr.
