Job Title: Electronics Technician (Cleanroom)Job Description
We are seeking a Electronics Technician to work in a cleanroom environment. With the core hours from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The role involves installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining semiconductor process tools.
Responsibilities
- Work in a class 100 cleanroom, adhering to cleanroom protocols.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain semiconductor process tools such as thin film deposition systems, reactive ion etchers, and chemical vapor deposition furnaces.
- Read and follow electrical, mechanical, and fluid diagrams.
- Utilize vacuum components and fittings, such as CF and KF flanges.
- Work safely with standard chemicals used in semiconductor fabrication.
- Maintain vacuum pumps including turbopumps, cryopumps, and scroll pumps.
- Install high purity gas lines using Swagelok compression, VCO, and VCR fittings.
- Install water cooling and drain lines in PVC or stainless steel.
- Use TapCON masonry screws and wall mount equipment.
- Frame lab equipment with 80/20 aluminum and Unistrut.
- Follow standard laboratory procedures.
- Wear a half mask respirator while in cleanroom garbed cleaning and servicing reactive ion etchers that use hazardous gases.
- Receive on-site training in fall protection and work on ladders up to 18 feet.
Essential Skills- Experience reading schematics.
- Experience hand soldering (certificate of training/education preferred).
- Experience troubleshooting and installing electronic systems.
- Experience using multimeters and other testing equipment.
- Experience with pressure transducers and thermocouples.
- 4+ years of relevant experience or an associate degree.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience in a Cleanroom Environment or HAZMAT with extensive PPE is preferred.

You will accrue 2.62 hours of PTO on contract, and all government holidays are paid. Health & Welfare fringe benefits of $4.56 per working hour are provided while on contract. Work Environment
The Test Facilities Operation, Maintenance, and Engineering (TFOME) team at the NASA Glenn Research Center provides engineering and technical services in aeronautics, space power, and propulsion test facilities. Core shift hours are from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with potential for rotating shifts during testing. Shift differentials of 7.5 for 2nd shift and 10 for 3rd shift apply.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, Ohio.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.11 - $31.11/hr.
