What the position is:

The Dispatch Trainer assists the Dispatch Training manager with developing training material and training for aircraft dispatchers.

Essential Functions:

• Assist with development and oversight of dispatcher training courseware
• Liaison with other departments within CommutAir, FAA, and industry peers
• Maintain dispatch training records
• Maintain currency as an aircraft dispatcher for CommutAir and work as a dispatcher if required
• Scheduling dispatch training
• Conducts ground school and competency checks for dispatchers
• Any other duties the Chief Dispatcher assigns
• Accountable for the Safety Management System (SMS) responsibilities described in the Companys SMS Manual and 14 CFR part 5.23

General requirements & qualifications:

• Hold a valid FAA Dispatch certificate
• Must be at least 23 years of age
• Must be legal to work in the United States (A citizen or national of the United States, a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work)
• Must own the valid United States or foreign passport with applicable VISAs. Must have the right to travel freely in and out of the United States, to and from all cities served by CommutAir without restriction
• Fluent in the English language, both written and spoken
• Excellent communication skills, written, spoken, and radio
• Intermediate Computer Skills, especially MS Office and department-specific software
