Advanced Engineering Technician

Contract Position
Advanced Engineering Technician job in Taunton, MA. is available with Moseley Technical Services Top Defense Company. In this high-volume production environment you will perform design verification, test, troubleshoot, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, production devices or specialized test equipment and troubleshoot various cables, small and large electronic enclosures and encryption products; routinely load software, configure, and perform functional testing utilizing automated scripts or verbal instructions from Group Leader or Test peers.
Responsibilities:
- Tests and troubleshoots a variety of equipment/process operations involving an application or technical skills in a manufacturing environment, re; loading software, performing continuity and functional testing (electrical, electronic, fiber optic, antenna, etc.)
- Construct, modify, adjust, debug basic test tooling and equipment given appropriate drawings, parts and instructions
- Set up, calibrate and perform routine/basic preventative maintenance tasks maintain automated and manual test equipment, components, devices, or systems
- Layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modification of electronic or electro-mechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems
- Supports engineering activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices or specialized test equipment
- Interprets and works from basic engineering drawings, diagrams and schematics and written or verbal instructions
- Calibrates, adjusts, aligns, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems
- Prepares prescribed compounds and solutions
- Organizes data to identify cause/effect relationships and recommend resolution/process improvement
Qualifications:
- US. Citizen with active Department of Defense Secret security clearance
- Associate’s degree in related discipline or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Solid knowledge and proficiency in the use of fabrication tools and test equipment
- Ability to fabricate complex hardware
