Mission
Within the Maintenance and Engineering Fleet Aircraft Transition team, you will be active as an Aircraft Transition Engineer and manage aircraft transition projects from initial planning to final delivery ensuring timelines and budgets are strictly followed.
Tasks
- Perform initial review of continuing airworthiness for the aircraft and prepare/review technical documentation, including maintenance records, compliance certificates, and transition reports.
- Ensure coordination of tasks with various departments within Brussels Airlines (Part 145 production, Flight Operations, Engineering Back office, Logistics, Finance, etc.).
- Communicate and liaise professionally with external parties such as lessors, previous operators, Civil Aviation Authorities, MROs, and OEMs.
- Proactively identify risks in the (re)delivery process and develop solutions, considering the most cost-effective approach.
- Provide technical expertise and support during the transition process, addressing engineering or maintenance issues as they arise.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the transition efficiency process by evaluating lessons learned after each project.
- Be willing to travel worldwide to organize aircraft transition inspections.
- Understand and apply the technical aspects of aircraft leasing and MRO contracts.
Your profile
- A Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in a Part CAMO environment with a deep understanding of EASA Part CAMO and Part 145 regulations.
- Knowledge of Part 21 regulations and/or experience with Part 145 is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to find effective solutions to problems.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to create order and structure.
- Able to work under pressure, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills in English (knowledge of Dutch and French is a plus).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (experience with MRO software AMOS is a plus).
- Dynamic, with a “hands-on” and “can-do” attitude.
- Capable of working independently and collaborating effectively as part of a team.
- Flexible in meeting project deadlines and willing to travel internationally regularly.
