Summary: Join our team as a System Design Engineer, utilizing your experience in managing or designing within an Avionics Environment and knowledge of relevant engineering processes.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in developing or managing within an Avionics Environment.
• Knowledge of DO-297, DO-178, and/or DO-331 process assurance (preferred).
• Prior experience with A653 partition-based operating system (preferred).
• Understanding of engineering processes including requirements definition, allocation, validation, verification, integration, embedded software, electronic systems, certification, and system safety.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams in system development, integration, validation, and verification.
• Experience with version control tools.

  Position Responsibilities:

• Execute plans for system development and verification of air vehicle components.
• Generate system functional requirements based on stakeholder expectations.
• Assist in the development of architecture models and allocate requirements to sub-systems, hardware, and software components.
• Validate and verify system requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system integration and verification issues.
• Coordinate with internal and external IPTs, suppliers, and peers to develop and execute project/design plans and reviews.
• Develop and execute test cases and procedures to verify the system under test.
• Manage and coordinate issues, problem reports, and change requests until closure.
• Coordinate design changes and deliveries with Safety, Security, and Certification organizations.

  Education Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Software, Computer Science, or related field.
• Other engineering degrees may be considered with applicable experience.
