We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to serve as the subject matter expert for a specific focus area and act as the super user for all legacy products. This pivotal role involves translating business requirements into technical execution plans, interfacing directly with key stakeholders and discipline leads to ensure project success. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in proposal work, including product selection, leading PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), requirements gathering, and overseeing buy-off procedures to meet project specifications.

What You Will Do:

  • Area assignments could include tools supporting ANDON, OEE, SPC, real time location systems (RTLS), visualization platforms, automated workflows, data analysis and reporting tools (PowerBi, SSRS, Qlik, Tableau), or other tools provided to our operations team.
  • Will be the first users of newly created solutions (not developers)
  • Responsible for clear communication and documentation of the “how to.”
  • Business to Technical Translation: Translate complex business requirements into actionable technical execution plans, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Proposal Development: Lead the proposal process, including down-selection of potential products, cost estimation, and scope definition to meet client needs and project objectives.
  • Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA): Conduct and lead PFMEA activities to identify potential risks in the projects processes and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize project requirements, ensuring a thorough understanding of project needs.
  • Discipline Lead Collaboration: Work directly with discipline leads, ensuring requirements are fully understood and met through effective buy-off procedures.
  • Project Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical specifications, project plans, and progress reports.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary technical liaison between business stakeholders and execution resources, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicating with our Digital Technologies team to provide clarity regarding requirements through development and explanation of user stories.
  • Provide functional ownership of the product feature set requiring regular direct collaboration with DT development resources.
  • Manufacturing Systems Knowledge: Fundamental understanding of manufacturing applications and systems such as MES (Manufacturing Execution System), PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), and RTLS (Real-Time Location System).
  • Automation and Control Systems: Base foundation in automation and control systems, including hands-on experience in programming, implementing, and troubleshooting PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).
  • SCADA Systems: Familiarity with SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems for industrial control and monitoring.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or a related technical field and 10 years of experience in engineering or a project engineering role or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience.
