PURPOSE
Solve critical manufacturing challenges as a key member of the PCC-Ogden Facilities & Maintenance Team. We provide robust solutions to produce exacting parts for the aerospace industry. You will be depended upon for maintenance, upgrades, and continuous improvement for critical equipment controls systems, PLCs, root cause analysis for disruptions to manufacturing equipment and process, and technical expertise pertaining to industrial equipment.
Maintenance Technician - Controls
Essential Job Functions:
- Program & support industrial PLCs and control systems
- Assist in directing installation of equipment and processes
- Provide after-installation equipment support and program improvements
- Assist other team members in operations, maintenance, and engineering on solving controls-based process problems
- Assist in the maintenance of software change logs for PLCs and other programmable hardware
- Work directly with varied teams with unique goals to successfully complete projects
- Work closely with and favorably represent PCC with contractors and suppliers
- Support and work with teammates in the maintenance department with down equipment diagnostics & repair
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives for PCC Ogden and the maintenance department
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of related work experience
- Technical certification or technical college certificate preferred
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience in PLC and controls programming, troubleshooting, installation, and customizing
- Experience working with or programming industrial equipment, CNC machines, robotics, and or general automation
- Logical and analytical approach to problem solving
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline or combination of experience and education
- Experience working with Allen Bradley and Redlion PLCs
- Understanding of hydraulic systems
- Understanding of motion control systems
- Knowledge of furnaces, pressure vessels, and other related foundry equipment
- Understanding of electrical and safety circuit design concepts
