MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a Bachelors Degree with emphasis on construction, mechanical or industrial engineering. Completed, relevant education from an accredited college or university may be substituted for years of relevant work experience. Additionally, years of relevant work experience may be substituted for completed, relevant education from an accredited college or university. 1 year of education 2 years of experience.
- Must have 5 years experience in building automation and controls.
- Must have highly developed interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Must be able to read and interpret wiring diagrams, equipment repair manuals, line and block programs.
- Must be able to write and modify building and equipment controls programming functions.
- Must have the ability to work effectively under frequent deadlines coordinating with personnel of diverse skills and abilities.
- Must have a highly developed work ethic, critical thinking skills, and problem solver.
- Must have normal physical and muscular dexterity and agility.
- Must be able to generate reports by utilizing Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) in daily tasks
- Must be able to move throughout the facility including ascending and descending stairs with or without reasonable accommodation
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of programming Andover and Trane controls.
- Knowledge of electronic circuitry and ability to read mechanical drawings and blueprints.
- Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Knowledge of project management principles
- Knowledge of AutoCAD
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Normal office, hangar, and shop conditions.
- Varying temperatures and weather conditions.
- Occasional working on roofs and ladders may be required
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
- Manage, lead, develop and implement new controls strategies for the Facility.
- Manage the implementation of building automation systems; including integration of existing controls.
- Develop budgets and write RCAs for capital expenditures involving building automation and controls projects.
- Prepare drawings of changes or alterations to the building automation system.
- Performs under limited direction all functions required for maintaining, modifying, installing, and troubleshooting building and equipment controls.
- Will plan and organize daily activities with little or no supervision in order to meet organizational goals.
- Will work in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA and company safety procedures.
- Prepare project scope requirements for controls projects.
- Any other duties assigned
- Coordinate and work with outside vendors on controls programs when needed.
- Develop, modify and maintain Energy Management set-back programs and controls to manage overall utility usage and costs.
NON-PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
- Will work with Facilities Maintenance Mechanics when required to complete repairs or modifications to buildings, controls, and equipment.
- Will conduct new employee and re-occurring automation training for maintenance mechanics.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) as necessary to complete tasks.
