THE WORK
As an Industrial Engineer on our Aerostructure Product Centers Industrial Engineering team, you will provide essential support in optimizing our production processes. This includes performing methods and labor performance analyses, developing standard data, and conducting cost estimates. You’ll have the opportunity to engage in advanced studies like man-loading, capacity and tool-rate analyses, workflow optimization, make-or-buy decisions, and learning curve assessments—all aimed at improving operational efficiency.
Youll also generate detailed daily and weekly reports on manufacturing labor cost metrics to help identify and address cost, schedule, and production challenges. Leveraging tools like Tableau and Microsoft Office, you will analyze data to support Operations Leadership in revising operating methods, implementing new technologies, and optimizing facility layouts for future production needs.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree.
-Experience in Manufacturing/Union environment with shop floor experience
--Experience with Analytical and Project Planning Tools including MS Office suite of tools. Tableau (SQL equivalent)
Desired Skills:
- SAP software experience a plus.
-Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation), particularly with Production Operations and Program Offices
-Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize assignments
-Greenbelt Certified a plus – experience leading process improvement activities
-Earned Value Management (EVM), an understanding of Schedule Performance Index (SPI) and Cost Performance Index (CPI) a plus
-Previous Sikorsky operations experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
