As an Electric Power Design Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a key role in designing and developing mechanical and electromechanical technologies and applications for aerospace solutions. You will provide technical expertise and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects that enhance the performance and reliability of our Sustainable aerospace technologies and innovate in aircraft electrification (in actuation, hydrogen propulsion and electric control).

You will report directly to our Senior R&D Manager and you’ll work out of our Brno location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the development of cutting-edge electric power solutions that contribute to safer and more efficient aerospace systems, ultimately improving the quality of air travel for passengers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Electronic hardware design, manufacturing support, assembly, modelling, and simulation (Mentor Graphics, PSpice and other simulation tools) 
• Design of power electronics up to 1000 V DC
• Technical documentation preparation
• Test cases development, tests execution
• Close collaboration with other team disciplines (mechanical team, software team, FPGA, …)

Key Experience & Capabilities

• 3+ years of experience in Electronic design area for Power Electronics, Power Electronics Digital Control, Electronic signal sensing, Electronic signal processing or other relevant aera
• System level thinking to allow Power electronics component and sub-system integration, HW/SW integration activities
• Masters or higher Degree in Electric Power engineering or related field or equivalent experience
• Ability to obtain Act No. 250/2021 Coll. (zákon č. 250/2021 Sb.)
• Experience with HW assembly & integration
• Experience in embedded systems
• Experience with creating technical documentation
• English at B2 level or higher
