BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in developing electrical equipment assemblies, schematics, one-line diagrams, and equipment schedules
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science or Engineering Design & Technology or 10+ years of applicable professional experience with Associate degree in Electronics, Computer Science or Engineering Design & Technology
- Experience using CAD
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Advanced CAD skills using EPLAN
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical design standards and codes, including UL508a, NEC, and ANSI Y14.5
- At least 2 years of experience with design of control systems for electromechanical systems and/or electrical/server racks
- Well-adapted in model and drawing revision control
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
- Able to prioritize multiple tasks and deliver work in a timely manner
- Works well on a team
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in the design and/or production of electrical harnessing
- Sophisticated knowledge of electrical equipment design and components such as: power supplies, relays, contactors, connectors, PLCs, motor drives, control switches/buttons, enclosures, terminal blocks, wire sizing
- Familiarity with industrial operational technology networking equipment and structured cabling design
- Previous experience/background in the testing/production of aerospace equipment/systems
- Background in RF equipment, design and/or testing
- Formal training/advanced skills in Eplan, Siemens Nx, AutoCAD, Altium Designer
- Strong 3D CAD skills for designing fabricated parts and assisting in building equipment layouts
- Field experience with control system wiring, startup, and testing
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Visio
- Knowledge of single and multi-layer Printed Circuit Boards, their related schematics, assemblies, and fabrication
- Ability to design multi-layer PCB assemblies based on engineering schematics
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with changing needs and requirements
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be available to work long hours and weekends as needed
- Must be willing to travel
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:
Designing - CAD Engineer/Level I: $100,000 - $120,000/year
Designing - CAD Engineer/Level II: $115,000 - $135,000/year
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
