L3Harris is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Orlando, FL. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the electrical engineering discipline and a solid understanding of systems engineering principles. This role involves consulting on the architecture of new electrical systems, supporting detailed design and development, and ensuring overall project execution. The candidate will play a critical role in the successful delivery of complex electrical systems.
At this location, Coleman Aerospace produces complex single, two, and three stage launch vehicles used to support ballistic missile defense testing. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for performing Test Engineering tasks that establish and manage design requirements, and will verify product designs meet all operating requirements for fabrication, test, flight, and life cycle disposal environments.
Essential Functions:
- Design and Development: Oversee and contribute to the detailed design, development, integration, and test of electrical systems.
- Architecting Electrical Systems: Lead the conceptualization and design of new electrical systems, ensuring alignment with project requirements and industry standards.
- Systems Engineering: Ability to apply systems engineering principles to integrate electrical systems with other subsystems, ensuring overall system functionality and performance.
- Project Management: Support the planning and execution of project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and adherence to project timelines.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative engineering environment.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve technical issues throughout the design and development process, utilizing a strong analytical approach.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Documentation: Prepare and review technical documentation, including design specifications and analysis reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant Electrical, Systems and Test engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
