Location: Savannah, GA Payrate: $80.52/hour Schedule: 1st shift, 7am to 5:30pm

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to hire a highly experienced Electrical Harness Installation Engineer. In this role, you’ll take ownership of complex engineering programs focused on Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems—the critical infrastructure that powers and connects modern aircraft. Your expertise will directly impact performance, safety, and innovation across advanced aerospace platforms.
What You’ll Do Day-to-Day
Step into a high-impact role where technical leadership and innovation are essential:
Lead full-scope EWIS engineering projects of major complexity from concept through production and support
Make authoritative technical decisions that influence large-scale aerospace programs
Design and develop wire harness systems, including routing, integration, and long-term maintainability
Apply deep expertise in EMI/EMC, system separation, and aircraft electrical architecture
Assign and optimize wiring/cabling within harness assemblies for performance, safety, and compliance
Drive resolution of EWIS-related issues across multiple product lifecycle phases
Develop engineering standards, processes, and best practices for EWIS design and implementation
Use tools such as Siemens Capital and Dassault SmarTeam to create and manage designs
Collaborate cross-functionally while operating with a high degree of independence
Investigate and solve complex engineering challenges where precedents may not exist
What You Bring to the Table
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field) or equivalent experience
13+ years in a specialized engineering discipline or 15+ years across multiple engineering areas
Extensive aerospace experience with aircraft electrical systems
Proven expertise in EWIS design, integration, and issue resolution
Strong background in wire harness design, production, and maintenance
Proficiency with Siemens Capital and Dassault SmarTeam
Deep understanding of wiring diagrams, loom design, system architecture, and EMI/EMC requirements
Ability to assign wiring based on system separation, functionality, and maintainability principles
Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
Proficiency with MS Office and standard engineering tools
Experience supporting EWIS across multiple lifecycle phases
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Engineering or related field
Knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter
Experience with EWIS component qualification and certification
Proficiency in CATIA V5 Electrical
Background in EWIS certification processes

Pay Details: $80.52 per hour
