As a Electronic Systems Engineer focused on Engine Controls, you’ll lead cutting-edge research and development initiatives that drive new products, improve performance, and influence the direction of next-generation aircraft systems.
What You’ll Do Every Day
You’ll operate at the forefront of innovation, combining deep technical expertise with strategic leadership:
Lead the design, research, and development of advanced electronic engine control systems
Plan and execute R&D programs aligned with corporate and customer objectives
Identify and implement new technologies to enhance product performance, cost, and delivery timelines
Drive process improvements that optimize engineering efficiency and innovation
Apply advanced engineering theories, tools, and methodologies to solve complex technical challenges
Develop and champion new ideas, concepts, and system architectures
Act independently to define technical direction and approaches for critical projects
Serve as a subject matter expert, advising senior leadership and influencing industry practices
Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and executive teams to bring innovations to life
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
15+ years of progressive engineering experience in a relevant technical discipline
Deep expertise in electronic systems, engine controls, or aerospace systems engineering
Proven ability to lead complex R&D initiatives and deliver innovative solutions
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
Ability to operate independently with wide latitude in decision-making
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s or PhD in Engineering or related discipline (advanced degree experience may offset years of experience)
Recognized subject matter expertise in aerospace electronic systems or engine controls
Experience influencing technical strategy at an organizational or industry level
Demonstrated success balancing technical performance, cost, and schedule

Pay Details: $161.12 per hour
