Safety comes first in what we do at Airbus. The architecture of the different Aircraft Systems meet the highest safety requirements through rigorous engineering for a safe and optimized integration of aircraft. The design of these safety critical Systems (like Fuel systems, Air conditioning System, Hydraulic System, Electrical System etc.) is highly iterative and is driven by Systems Engineering principles to ensure consistency and traceability.
System integration team ensures that the architecture design of these different systems, conforms to the safety requirements and answers system safety assessment (SSA) done at various levels, thereby eliminating or mitigating failure effects that may result in Aircraft Level Catastrophic Condition.
As a Reliability, Safety and Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for a host of activities in the area of safety critical aircraft systems and associated safety aspects. The job holder works in collaboration with the systems safety team to support product safety at aircraft and system level, Particular risk analysis (PRA), configuration management, certification, In service/Occurrence management.
You will get an opportunity to work on Aircraft systems for different aircraft programs, with responsibilities to (non exhaustive list):
Build an early stage 3D design of an integrated aircraft, referred as Global Architecture Mockup (GAM)
Support flight clearance, safety analysis (SSA,FHA,PSSA,CCA) and PRA aspects.
Screen and Implement Architecture changes, with a focus on the ones impacting system safety.
Converge and implement Electrical routing definition, like Wiring Diagrams, to ensure correctness of functional safety analysis.
Summarize safety findings and synthesize report of the analysis to show “Proof of Compliance”
Support configuration management aspects.
Support compliance review associated with certification documentation.
Support in screening and management of in service Occurrences.
Supporting quality checks on process documents.
Drive improvements of Process, Methods & Tools.
Reporting on status of activities, timely escalation of issues, identification of risks and proposals for risk mitigation.
You will also be learning to,
Education & Experience
B.Tech. / B.E. / M.Tech. / M.E., in Aerospace/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
Preferably 3-8 years of work experience
Required Technical Expertise
Very good knowledge on aircraft and its systems.
Method of conducting Safety analysis in Aircraft – FHA, SSA, CCA, PSSA, PRA
Good understanding of System Engineering concepts.
Good knowledge in electrical drawings and 3D Design Tools like CATIA, 3DX.
Awareness of System Safety analysis: ARP 4761, ARP 4754
Must have
Ability to work independently & in a team in a transnational environment.
Confident communication and good interpersonal skills.
Strong negotiation skills.

Willingness to learn new skills relying on self-development.

Note: To ensure learning ramp up, different ways will be adopted including training sessions, learning by doing etc. on different aspects of operations
