As an Engineering Export Compliance Officer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our company operates within the boundaries of export laws and regulations. You will provide legal guidance and facilitate export compliance matters to business units and senior management, ensuring that our operations and transactions comply with all applicable export laws, regulations, and international trade controls. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on minimizing risk and cost to the corporation while maintaining alignment with export standards.
You will report directly to our Jurisdiction and Classification Program Leader and will work from a Honeywell site on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role you will use your engineering expertise to partner with Engineering and ISC organizations across the Enterprise to understand their products and the process for classifying them to support export authorization determination and acquisition which enables technical collaboration and facilitates the transfer of products to non-US and external parties. You will add value to the business by playing a significant role in developing and improving on export classification processes and tools to enable efficient adherence to export regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide legal guidance and facilitate export compliance matters to business units and senior management; primarily providing Export Classification Process guidance and support to Engineering, Sales, and Procurement organizations
- Develop and implement export compliance policies, procedures, tools, and training programs
- Ensure compliance with all applicable export laws, regulations, and international trade controls
- Support export license authorization
- Conduct internal investigations and assessment related to potential export compliance violations and to confirm the health of the Jurisdiction and Classification Program
- Advise on export compliance risks and provide recommendations for risk mitigation
- Stay up-to-date with changes in export regulations and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure export compliance in business operations and transactions
- Manage relationships with external legal counsel and government agencies related to export compliance

California, the annualbase salary range is $97,500 - $121,900. Please note that this salaryinformation serves as a general guideline. YOU MUST HAVE
- Engineering/technical expertise
- 3+ years engineering experience
DESIRABLE

- Knowledge of the export regulations (e.g., ITAR, EAR), export classification, and licensing requirements
- Experience in process, tool and training development
