Position Summary
- This Engineering Internship will provide a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a test lab environment supporting manufacturing processes and new product development. This intern will assist with the development of test plans, operate and maintain test equipment and participate in new product development projects. The Test Lab Intern role is to make sure the testing identified by the Development Team is conducted in an accurate, safe and timely manner to support business goals. Importance on teamwork, working closely with other Department roles to ensure the whole department works seamlessly.

• Perform testing on industrial filtration products following established procedures.
• Prepare samples for testing and assist with maintaining test equipment.
• Make improvements to test equipment or processes when needed to support new product development.
• Support lab tours and development programs as required.
• Manual handling of new and used filters.
• Responsible for housekeeping and tidiness in the lab and development stock area.
• Supporting Calibration of lab equipment to standards.
• Ensure all operations with the laboratory are conducted safely.
• Active part of the development team driving to business goals.
• Develop technical understanding of testing and results.
• Take on additional duties or projects as required, within reason, by the business to support any other part of the business.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Enrolled as student in Mechanical, Industrial, Materials Science Engineering or equivalent.
Working Standard site hours but flexible to support extended working when required.
PC proficiency: able to use MS Office programs (Word and Excel).
Mechanical fabrication skills and tool familiarity (Band saw /Drills /Hand tools etc.).
GCSE in English and Math (or equivalent).
Flexible mind-set.
Take responsibility and ownership for ongoing personal development.
Desired
Forklift license
LOTO understanding.
Filtration knowledge.
