We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. Fatigue Analysis Engineer (Across Multiple levels)
Bell is seeking a Fatigue Analysis Engineer to join one of many development and production programs. Fatigue Analysis Engineers at Bell work all structural systems including Rotors, Controls, Drives, Airframe, and Landing Gear. As an Fatigue Analysis Engineer you will conduct fatigue analyses and create the documentation of results for presentation to certification authorities. You will also develop fatigue test requirements for metallic and composite component testing and follow the tests as the engineering representative in the labs. Additionally, you conduct real-time monitoring of flight test loads in a ground control room in support of flight test activities.

What you’ll be doing as a Fatigue Analysis Engineer
- Develop fatigue test requirements for coupon or element testing to support component sizing or to support certification analyses
- Develop fatigue test requirements for elevated S-N testing of metallic components, spectrum testing of composite dynamic components, or spectrum testing of assemblies containing both metallic and composite structure.
- Perform safe-life fatigue analyses to establish component retirement times and inspection intervals
- Interface with structural analysis and design organizations, materials & processes, structural test laboratories, flight test, manufacturing and civil or military certification authorities
- Write and review technical reports
