The Work
Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Hardware Engineering Manager. As the Hardware Engineering Manager for the ASW sub-spanet segment in Manassas, VA this role drives the performance of engineering program teams in support of the Undersea Warfare Market Segment. This position you will provide comprehensive functional leadership to a team of talented engineers. Your responsibilities include overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from research and design to development, integration, and systems testing. You will be accountable for the performance of your team, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet high-quality standards. Your role involves managing administrative and personnel needs, including performance monitoring, career development, salary planning, training, and succession planning.

Basic Qualifications:
We are seeking a seasoned leader with the following experience:
• A proven track record in hardware design and development.
• Managing teams, overseeing complex projects, and ensuring the successful delivery of cutting-edge technologies.
• Possess expertise in requirements, flow down, documentation, site and programmatic supporting functions to include facilities, quality, manufacturing, metrology, systems and software.
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a STEM related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
Desired Skills:
• Experience with Capital Purchasing guidelines, procedures and planning
• Experience with Overhead purchasing guidelines, procedure and planning
• Experience with Shock, Vibration, Thermal, Humidity, Noise, Enclosure, Power and EMI/EMC Environmental Qualification Testing (EQT)
• Experience managing an Environmental Test Lab (ETL)
• Experience with LM Metrology Process and Tools
• Experience leading an Audit either in Hardware Design Process Compliance, Safety Compliance, Quality Compliance or all three.
• Experience with Succession Planning

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
