Raytheon’s diverse, energetic and collaborative Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) team offers an excellent opportunity for an International Supplier Engineering Section Manager to join our dynamic growth-oriented environment. You will be responsible for leading a team consisting of senior supplier engineers working as program leads with diverse backgrounds and varying levels of experience. You will report to the Supplier Engineering Department Manager and be accountable for the daily management and direction of approximately 8-12 Supplier Engineers. These Supplier Engineers work with suppliers located outside of North America and support all Raytheon programs.
As a working lead, you will be involved in all aspects of planning and executing the production of our wide range of weapon systems, from tactical missiles to strategic defense products as well as the evaluation and exploration of new suppliers to support strategic sourcing efforts. In this role you will leverage your technical knowledge and process capability expertise to improve supplier performance by driving Raytheon design requirements for manufacturing and quality capabilities of suppliers, and improvement of supplier hardware for affordability. You will be the catalyst for program execution of the Supplier Engagement Strategy activities including ensuring appropriate budget, manning, schedule and execution. You will also be responsible for driving organizational improvements and interfacing with the Commodity Management organization and other cross-functional teams.
This is a remote position.
What You Will Do
- Drive organizational improvement through utilization of CORE tools to support harmonization efforts, metrics alignment, and process improvements
- Ensure product and process capability across the supplier’s value stream, including sub-tiers
- Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities within the supplier’s manufacturing and quality systems
- Manage team requests for supplier engagements, CATER, SEPAS, and international travel approvals
- Manage supplier requests for product and process changes
- Manage product non-conformances; Drive root cause and corrective action
- Actively participate in program / engineering reviews and change boards
- Mentor/train junior SEs and provide back-up support (as needed) to ensure Program success
- Support travel (domestic and international) as needed ( 25)
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior manufacturing engineering, supplier engineering and/or mechanical engineering experience.
- Experience in at least two of the following: electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, process engineering, RF engineering, systems engineering, production/supplier management and/or Program/Production management.
- Experience leading people and/or teams
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Existing DoD Secret clearance
- Degree/Education in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering or related Engineering field.
- Advanced Degree in one of the following: Business Administration, Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process/Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science
- Proximity to a major/INTL airport to support travel, as required
- Experience supporting and prioritizing business and functional deliverables
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in a team-based setting
- Working knowledge of the STAMP tool and the SHARP database, or similar processes and tools
- A high degree of business acumen and skill in disseminating information and maintaining confidentiality

- Remote: This position currently is designated as remote. Employees who are working in remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home) but may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. The successful candidate for this role will be required to reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories).
The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
