Location: The position is based at our Mississauga location, internship is from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.

Our expectations:
The Support to Operations (STO) Mechanical Designer within Turbomachinery is responsible for providing engineering support to supply chain. He assumes responsibility for several components of a project or a complex component of a larger project. He contributes to his team or department by applying his knowledge of several functional areas. If you are a professional able to work quite independently and have a thorough knowledge of the discipline and the role, we invite you to apply.
What will your day-to-day look like?
- Design modifications that will resolve producibility challenges on turbomachinery components.
- Perform thorough engineering evaluations of non-conforming material.
- Support outsourcing activities by defining and executing substantiation plans for components manufactured by new suppliers.
- Initiate design modifications for cost reductions
What you need to be successful:
- Be eligible to work in Canada
- Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship
- Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable Pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken/written). French is an asset. Analytical skills
- Focus on results
- Teamwork and thoroughness
