As a Lead Project Engineer, you will guide and oversee airborne system development, allowing you to specialize in an exciting niche within the aerospace engineering field and build up unique subject domain expertise. You will have an opportunity to grow your technical skills, interact with multiple different stakeholders (engineering, business teams, suppliers, customers, and other partners). In addition to daily technical tasks, you will be encouraged to think out of the box and come up with new ideas and or approaches how to grow our Services and Connectivity business. You will grow into Project Engineer fully responsible for new product development.
This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage engineering projects from initiation to completion
- Manage projects using project management tool (MS Project, Accolate, SAP, …)
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Define project schedules, milestones, budgets, oversight and track project execution against schedule, scope and budget
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues, and overall risk management
- Capital projects management, monthly project updates
- Track and report project KPIs
- Communicate issues with stakeholders/team and actively contribute to their timely resolution.
- Support S&C organization in productivity, execution excellence and innovation initiatives
Qualifications
- University Degree
- 6+ years hands-on experience with managing product development projects
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, practices and standards
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
- Business acumen and understanding business objectives
- Experience working with demanding customers and managing suppliers
- Interest in being close to development of Aerospace products.
- Enjoy working with data, analyses and ability to present ideas/plans in a clear way
- Ability to communicate in English language
