Electrical Design Engineer – Defence / Maritime

Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer looking for variety, autonomy, and the chance to see your work go from concept to commissioning?

This precision engineering business designs, manufactures, and tests control & instrumentation systems for naval vessels and submarines – all under one roof. You’ll join a small, collaborative team where your work has real impact, and where projects are technically challenging and rewarding.

 ? What You’ll Be Doing

Full project lifecycle involvement – concept design through to FAT/SAT testing and commissioning

Electrical design using EPlan (or similar) – LV power, lighting, and control systems

Producing and reviewing documentation, leading technical discussions, and supporting continuous improvement

Working closely with manufacturing and assembly teams to see your designs come to life

 ? What We’re Looking For

5+ years’ electrical design experience (ideally within industrial, marine, or defence sectors)

Hands-on approach with a love for solving technical challenges

Experience with EPlan, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar

Strong communicator who thrives in a small, agile team environment

Must be a UK national (able to obtain security clearance)
