Role Summary
* In this role, you will define requirements for materials, parts, and processes used in the manufacture and maintenance of client products. You will lead the development, qualification, and deployment of new tools, equipment, materials, and processes to ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and industry standards. This position plays a key role in supporting affordability and supportability objectives through innovative nondestructive evaluation (NDE) solutions, technology integration, and supplier qualification. Education & Job Requirements
* Must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, physics or chemistry.
* Must have a minimum of 9 years of related experience, OR a Master’s degree and a minimum of 7 years of related experience, OR a Ph.D. and a minimum of 4 years of related experience in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
* Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering.
* Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Preferred Skills
* You will have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in NDE/NDT engineering within a regulated industry (such as aerospace, defense, or energy).
* You will have experience with nondestructive evaluation processes, including ultrasonic testing, radiography, eddy current testing, and penetrant inspection.
* You will have experience collaborating in multi-disciplinary teams and a strong desire to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* You will have a solid understanding of materials behavior, stress analysis, and fracture mechanics.
* You will have experience using project management tools to monitor cost, schedule, and technical deliverables.
* You will have excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across different locations.
* You will have an active or current Secret U.S. Security Clearance (preferred but not required). Job Duties/Functions
* You will be applying nondestructive evaluation (NDE) methods and principles, such as acoustic, electromagnetic, thermal, optical, and radiologic techniques, to develop innovative and affordable testing approaches.
* You will be defining requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes used in engineering design, manufacturing, and maintenance activities.
* You will be leading the development and validation of specifications and documentation to manage the deployment of materials, tools, and processes.
* You will be developing, qualifying, and approving new materials, equipment, and processes to meet customer and industry requirements.
* You will be managing test and audit programs to qualify suppliers and ensure adherence to technical and regulatory standards.
* You will be using project management tools to meet cost, schedule, and technical performance objectives.
* You will be ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards (ASNT, ASTM, AWS, ASME, ISO, etc.).
* You will be supporting audits, root cause analyses, and failure investigations as a subject matter expert.
* You will be assisting the Team Lead in defining strategies, providing consultation, and supporting ongoing work statements.
