Description:Lockheed Martin is looking for high-performing engineering students interested in developing their skills through a summer internship at the Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) business area in Lufkin, Texas.
At Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control, were taking innovation to the next level through automation and digital transformation. Implementation of new state of the art processing equipment and software has our Lufkin facility setting the new standard for processing electronic hardware with real time data feedback. These electronics are top tier assemblies for the United States missile defense programs and are increasing in demand. Intern will assist Manufacturing Engineering and Automated Processing teams in new automated equipment implementation, discovering and implementing methods improvements, creating work instructions, and mistake-proofing projects in support of the manufacture of Mil-Spec electronics. Candidate must have interest and aptitude in Manufacturing, Process, or Industrial Engineering disciplines. Position involves exposure to automated equipment, processes, and software for fabrication of complex circuit card assemblies and wire harness assemblies.
Basic Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or related discipline
Desired Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Robotics or PLCC programming
Teaming experience with strong written & verbal communication skills.
Should be a quick learner who is able to take day-to-day direction from department manager as well as able to interface with other members of the Production Operations Team.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
