As an industrial engineering supporting the Warehouse Automation & Design Engineering team, you will be responsible for identifying upcoming tool storage needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop usage and storage forecasts, build facility layouts, and coordinate/track inventory movement. Responsibilities:
- Build rate and capacity models for tooling and inventory to understand storage needs
- Manage relationships in a cross-functional environment with Manufacturing Engineering, Tool Engineering, Operations, and other key stakeholders
- Build storage layouts in AutoCAD
- Lead design reviews and ensure thorough documentation of all technical decisions
- Research and validate design and contractual requirements are met
- Participate in Kaizen events
- Coordinate movement of inventory with our Operations and Cranes & Transport team
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
- 4+ years of relevant engineering experience
- Proficiency in 2D CAD (e.g., AutoCAD)
- Project Management and schedule development
- Excellent written (whitepaper), presentation (PowerPoint summary), and verbal communication skills – and – comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
