Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Supplier Quality Engineer (Level 3) to join the St. Louis Air Dominance Supplier Quality Team located in Mascoutah, IL.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manages Supplier Nonconformance Responsibilities and issues Supplier Corrective Actions
- Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions. Recommends corrective actions to address non-conformances.
- Performs problem-solving through analysis of metrics to improve supplier performance.
- Provides supplier education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives.
- Reviews supplier audit results and initiates requests for audits when needed.
- Represents Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation.
- Provides Quality interpretation of requirements.
- Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities.
- Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
- Works under general direction
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher (Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry)
- 1+ year of experience in a quality job role
- 1+ year of experience working with supplier quality processes
- 1+ year of experience performing quantitative or statistical analysis, data collection, preparation and interpretation
- 1+ year of experience gathering data and performing a Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
- Experience in an aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 3 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with First Article Inspections (i.e. AS9102)
- Experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Experience interfacing and presenting to senior and executive leadership
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience working closely with other engineering disciplines in an integrated team environment
- Experience with regulatory requirements
- Experience reviewing contracts, managing suppliers, and/or experience working with inventory
- Experience with advanced product quality planning (APQP)
- Experience with Avionics
- Experience with Hydraulic Systems

Summary pay range: $88,400 – $119,600
