The Mobility Engines Systems Engineer works to ensure engineering execution of programs in the Mobility space including commercial engines being certified on military platforms. This includes providing and substantiating requirements and providing engineering teams with necessary budget and information resources. The Systems engineer participates in meetings with the customer as well as internal resources to drive projects to completion on budget and on schedule.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Participating in execution of Mobility programs including tankers, cargo and executive transport aircraft
- Guiding cross-functional teams to provide required information for various deliverables in execution of the program(s)
- Tracking budget and schedule for various aspects fo the program(s)
- Driving completion of design reviews and ensuring Design Processes are followed in execution of each aspect of the program(s)
- Participate in responding to RFIs and RFPs to support Mobility Growth opportunities
- Supports customer requests and tracks historical engine design and certification information to support Part 33 and Part 25 certification efforts –including engine and aircraft testing support
- Lead execution of mobility projects. Communicate results to peers and manager. Influence decisions based on technical results and convey performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
- Collaborating with peers in a fun and educational environment learning various aspects of aerospace engine integration into aircraft
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college
- 3 years in an Engineering role in the aerospace industry
